Acquisition Date : June 2006
Camera : Nikon D50, unmodified.
Camera Settings : ISO 800. 7-600sec images aquired in automated 'mode 3'
Telescope : Nikon MF, non ED, 300mm F4.5, piggy backed on an 10" SCT.
Mount : EQ-6 Skyscan, autoguided via a 500mm F8 mirror lens,MX516 + SXV USB 2.0 interface and AstroArt 3.
Processing Package / Processing Applied : IRIS 5.32. Automated
Mode 3 with dark subtraction, median combined, black point set,
colour balanced, and digitally developed.

NOTES : This image was created using a Drizzle algorithm. The actual image is 6000x4000 pixels. Drizzle trades some density for higher resolution and is a method for extracting maximum resolution from a short focal length lens. Please view the image at the listed website to see the effect which cannot be reproduced properly here.
