The greek island of Kastelorizo was in the path of totality for last month's total solar eclipse. A consecutive series of eight exposures from 1/100" to 1/4" were used to incrementally build the inner corona. A ninth exposure, the solar disk immediately prior to first contact (1/500"), was added in place of the eclipsed sun for the final digital composite of a sun with corona which would otherwise not be visible with the unaided eye or a filtered optical instrument. |
